Week 9 - One month left


Hello!
Welcome to Week 9 of our little project we got going here.
First and foremost, in this week, I'll be talking more about minor changes that do have effect on gameplay, and some major changes to visuals. You'll see what I mean in a second.

First, major changes. We have updated the visuals of the Roundprep screen, and to the player's little avatar in the roundprep screen.


This is what it looks like now in game, with very minor changes (Timer in the bottom left.)

We also realized that for many people, the game isn't very clear when it comes to controls. To help with that, we have created a reference image that you'll be able to call on in-game.


There are now also 4 colors, one for every player. For now, every player is yellow, but this will soon change to Yellow, Blue, Orange and Purple.


Furthermore, We have been looking into hazards and FX, with smaller, less significant things like scratches when hitting other bots:


To far more interesting pieces like our Electric Tile!


Last but not least, our Fist Hazard has been animated, but not implemented yet.


As a last note, some minor changes to the game:

-The Round countdown can no longer be initiated by one person, you now need two people at minimum entering the square and pressing "A".

-The menu is no longer accessed by pressing B, but with A (like a normal, sane human being).

-The bots' movement has been updated to be less floaty. We also felt it was needed to make them less fast, although you'll barely notice the difference.
